Presenters Set for Entrepreneur Resources Convention,

COLVILLE, WA – October 15, 2009- Local entrepreneurs Elliott Edwards and Heather Ruskievicz will be keynote speakers at the Entrepreneur Resources Convention at the Institute of Extended Learning, Colville Center, 985 S. Elm St, Colville, Saturday, November 14, from 9 to 3.

Edwards, of Hatchisoft, will address the role of technology in helping first-time entrepreneurs, and Ruskievicz, of Heather’s Fairy Tale Bakery, will discuss how she followed her entrepreneurial dream.

The event, sponsored by Colville Horizons, WSU Stevens County Extension, and the IEL, also will feature sessions on business management and bookkeeping, government procurements, marketing and micro lending, determining entrepreneurial type, and overcoming the fear of success.

Representatives from the WSU, IEL, Chamber of Commerce, Tri-County Economic Development, SCORE, Forestry Specialty Products and Stone Soup will provide information on how their organizations can assist entrepreneurs.

Debra Kollock, WSU Extension, will announce an upcoming business plan competition for high school students, while Dana McDowell, Horizons, will provide information on the “Big Idea” contest for product-minded local entrepreneurs.
