Horizons to Stage “Pathways to Prosperity”
Posted: Wednesday, October 7
Colville Horizons, in partnership with WSU Extension and the Institute for Extended Learning, will sponsor an entrepreneur resource convention, Pathways to Prosperity, on Saturday, November 14, at Colville Center, 985 S. Elm, Colville, from 9 to 3. Local residents interested in becoming self-starters and innovators are invited. Admission is free, and lunch and snacks will be provided.
Because the event will immediately precede Global Entrepreneurship Week, a worldwide effort to educate and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs, several sessions will be geared towards youth, including overcoming the fear of success and how to participate in Horizon’s annual Big Idea contest. The Horizons Board strongly encourages high school and community college students to attend.
Speakers will address availability of local resources, basics of marketing and finance, developing a business plan, discovering one’s entrepreneurial type, and other topics pertaining to running a successful business.
Local businesses and service organizations providing resources to support local entrepreneurship are invited to display exhibits.
To reserve a seat or request information, contact Vicky Broden, 675-6983 or e-mail colvillehorizons@gmail.com. Details about the event soon will be posted at www.colvillewa.org.
